Whilst still ok, the cottages felt tired with cracks appearing, paint thinning and the outdoor furniture verging on dangerous.

Great venue and lovely location, with a lot of promise. I stayed with you some years ago and at that time was very impressed with all elements.

My hotel room was lovely and your receptionists were very helpful and friendly. My first night's dinner experience was less than terrific. Although it was late, the dining room was very crowded (it was the holiday weekend to be fair). There was a very long wait for a table. Once seated, it took a long time for someone to take my order. There was an extremely drunk and loud large party that made the meal anything but relaxing. I didn't care for my food selection. My next night's experience was very different. Much quieter. I was seated and served quickly. My meal was delicious. That's what is meant by timing is everything. All in all, a very nice hotel that I would certainly recommend to my friends.

The meal was lovely, reasonably priced. However, the brisket was a little dry, but I can’t complain our waiter said others felt the same (still tasty, more sauce would have changed it).

Really enjoyed our stay at the beautiful Royal Mail Hotel. The reason we were drawn there was the dining experience at the restaurant, which was amazing. Our waiter was very engaging (sorry can't remember his name but he was French!) and the little meeting with Robin in the kitchen was quite unique and insightful. Food was amazing too - more of the carrot cake please! My partner really enjoyed his matched wines. I wish Robin and the team all the best as they have a really great restaurant on their hands.

The restaurant (Parker Street Project) was fantastic. The service from Ethan was impeccable, he was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable on both the food and drinks menu he also offered lots of insight into the locally sourced products. The "feed me" menu was very well crafted and presented. We had to go back a second time as the slow cooked lamb was so impressive. Prices were very reasonable for the quality of the food. Definitely worth stopping in if you are travelling past.

The Royal Mail Hotel provided a perfect getaway in a stunning location. We enjoyed modern comfort in a very idyllic setting at one of the Mount Sturgeon cottages. The cottage was nicely renovated with heating, A/C, luxury bedding, kitchenette stocked with amenities, comfortable living room, and fireplace. The view from the cottage is spectacular, and we had an opportunity to view wildlife (kangaroos) in the valley below. The hotel staff are exceptionally friendly and have excellent recommendations for day hikes and other local attractions. The dining experience at Wickens is unbeatable. The dining room has been beautifully crafted to showcase the mountain view and the tasting menus (both regular and vegetarian) are exceptional. Each dish is a visual and culinary masterpiece, paying homage to the richness of the gardens and dairies of Dunkeld. The Royal Mail provided the perfect holiday.
